Typism Book 6: Behind the Scenes 3

Mar 25, 2020

Each year we feature some behind the scenes shots of the process behind some successful Typism submissions. This week we are sharing Viktoria Stalybka's

Viktoria is a graphic designer with a particular interest in type and print-related projects.

To create this awesome piece Viktoria started off sketching out her idea.

Then scanning her sketch in, she started to refine and complete the design digitally.

We love the next steps Viktoria took playing with the background texture! Using fun scribbles Viktoria works on building up the background texture and erasing certain areas to create this organic feel.

You can also see that she slowly refines the lettering and spacing with each stage. We love how the letters were made to look like tree roots or branches.

We loved watching the process of this work and seeing the super unique and organic outcome. You will find this artwork in the upcoming Typism Book 6.
