Pre-order Book 7 and win

The Typism Book 7 is now open for digital pre-order, and we also want to give away some prizes. You have until February 28 to pre-order the digital copy of Typism Book 7 and be in the draw to win.

Typism has been publishing compilations of the best black and white lettering in the world since 2013. We are currently up to Typism Book 7, and for the first time ever, we will be offering a digital copy for sale as well as a print copy.

The print copies will no longer be available for pre-order (see this blog post for an explanation why), but the digital copy will be. We are proud to have showcased over 800 lettering artists and Book 7 promises to be the best edition yet.

There are two prizes up for grabs, and they're only available to anyone who pre-orders the digital copy of book 7, so you'll need to act quickly if you don't want to miss out. The digital copy is only $10 as a pre-order, so you'll be a winner, no matter what!

About the prizes

Prize number one is a limited edition print from Oscar Diaz.

The art was made by Oscar in 2019 for Goodtype and their "Strength in Letters" slogan. He created this piece to commemorate the change in his professional life. Oscar took the plunge from working as an art director to full-time freelancing and found this slogan meant everything to him at that time in his life. 

He did a geometric study of typography, based on basic forms and lines, but trying to go against sterility and cold perfection. The family was conceived as a set of variable and interlaced symbols that play together in perfect harmony. He created the full alphabet for 36 Days of Type challenge, where (thanks to the grid) each letter shares a common shape and makes a structured composition.
