Every year we go behind the scenes and look at the process behind some of the successful Typism submissions. This week we are sharing iPad process videos from Tina Sims, Ran Keren, and Frauke Müller.

This lettering looks playful and casual so it's quite surprising to see how much Tina refines each step of the process.

Again, this lettering looks very casual and playful but Ran carefully refines each letter and redraws the lines multiple times. You can also see that each letter has an underlying framework to keep them all consistent.

Alternatively, this finished lettering looks quite mechanical and yet the process to work out all of the shadows and shading is quite organic. You can see Frauke experiments with multiple shading options in this initial sketch.
