Bleed or No Bleed

Each year we receive thousands of submissions for the Typism Book so it's important you follow the artwork specifications carefully to be considered. We've received questions regarding where to use bleed.
If you do have artwork going to all four edges of the page you WILL then need to allow 5mm bleed all round.
If you are using a black background then you WILL need 5mm bleed all round.

If using a white background with no artwork going to the edges you DON'T need to allow for any bleed.
If your submission is a variety, you will only need bleed on the edges where the artwork touches. See the examples for further clarification.
