About Typism

Typism is a community united by our shared love of letterforms.

We are dedicated to celebrating and promoting the art of type design, typography,  calligraphy, and all forms of lettering.

Founded by Dominique Falla in 2013 as an Australian conference, Typism has evolved into an online hub for designers, creatives, and typography enthusiasts from around the world and hosts yearly summits, book launches, and memberships.

Typism Books

There are currently nine editions of the Typism Book available, with a new edition published yearly. The Typism Books are curated collections of the world's best black-and-white lettering, calligraphy, and typography. These books serve as essential resources for design professionals, students, and anyone seeking inspirational type and lettering.

Typism Summits

Typism hosts annual summits that bring together typography enthusiasts, designers, and experts. These summits are a convergence of ideas and a platform for discussing the latest trends, techniques, and innovations in the world of type and lettering. Each summit provides a unique opportunity to engage with the global typography community, and they are free. The January Summit focuses on skill-building, and the July Summit focuses on the business of lettering.
